A Tangipahoa Parish man claims his First Amendment rights were violated when he was arrested for a Facebook post.
Deputies arrested Arden Wells in July on a charge of terrorizing.
Wells, a frequent critic of Sheriff Gerald Sticker's job performance, reportedly made a Facebook post a month earlier that falsely claimed an inmate had escaped from the parish jail, which has an ongoing history of escapes.
Tangipahoa Parish District Attorney Scott Perrilloux says no decision has been made yet as to whether Wells will be charged.
