New Orleans is officially the host of the College Football National Championship in 2028.
The College Football Playoff confirmed earlier reports and announced the selection of New Orleans as the host city on Wednesday.
This will be the second time the Superdome will host the title game since the switch to the playoff format in 2015.
New Orleans joins Miami and Atlanta as the only cities chosen by the CFP to host the game a second time. The 2026 championship game will be played at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
