BRPD Arrests Man For Firing Gun During Southern Homecoming Game

A man is in custody and accused of firing a gun during Southern University's homecoming game on Saturday.

Police arrested Muhsin Morehouse after he reportedly shot at somebody on the university's campus. The intended victim wasn't hit.

The arrest took place in the midst of heightened security measures during the homecoming event, including drones and extra patrols.

Officers arrested two other men for carrying guns on campus.

The same security measures will be in effect for Saturday's home game at LSU.
