NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick says she'll work with the Louisiana National Guard if President Donald Trump deploys them to the city.
Kirkpatrick made the statement on Tuesday during the NOPD's National Night Out Against Crime event at the Rosenwald Recreation Center.
She pointed out that the National Guard has come to town before, following the New Year's Day terror attack on Bourbon Street, and during Super Bowl LIX in February.
Gov. Jeff Landry has said he'd welcome National Guard troops in New Orleans.
