Southeastern Grocers is selling off its 13 last Louisiana stores, rebranding as Winn-Dixie, and focusing on Florida.
The company made the announcement on Tuesday.
Texas-based Brookshire Grocery Company has bought and rebranded eight Louisiana Winn-Dixie stores in recent years, and will buy two stores in Baton Rouge.
German-owned grocer Aldi has bought nearly two dozen Winn-Dixie stores in South Louisiana, including locations in Metairie, Gretna, and Gonzales.
