Louisiana's Incurable STI Task Force is already at work on its annual report.
Recent data revealed Louisiana ranks first in the nation for chlamydia and second for gonorrhea rates.
The task force's report will include recommendations for legislators during the 2026 session.
The report is expected to examine STI education in school systems, as well as testing inside Louisiana's prisons.
