State officials say Louisiana is in talks for seven to 15 more data centers statewide, following the new Meta data center in Richland Parish
Susan Bourgeois, secretary of Louisiana Economic Development, is addressing concerns related to the energy-hungry centers.
On Thursday, she told the Task Force on Energy Infrastructure and Modernization that Gov. Jeff Landry has repeatedly said he'll protect Louisiana energy consumers first as he works to bring economic opportunity to the state.
