An agreement between the Archdiocese of New Orleans and the Bond Trustee is clearing the way for confirmation of a settlement plan with victims of clergy sex abuse.

Hundreds of clergy abuse claims were filed as part of the Archdiocese's federal bankruptcy case.

The victims approved the $230 million settlement plan last month.

After a break for Thanksgiving, the confirmation hearing will continue next week. Closing arguments are scheduled for December 4th.
