Specialty grocery chain Trader Joe's is planning to open a new store in Mandeville.
Mayor Clay Madden confirmed the rumors on Monday.
The store will be in the Pontchartrain Square shopping center on US Highway 190. The official opening date hasn't been announced, but so far it looks like sometime in mid-2026.
There are three Trader Joe's locations in Louisiana, one each in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Metairie. A fourth location is expected to open soon in Uptown New Orleans.
