Helena Moreno Inaugurated As Mayor

The inauguration of Helena Moreno as mayor of New Orleans took place this morning, with a ceremony at the Saenger Theatre.

Moreno attended a mass at St. Louis Cathedral on Sunday as part of a day-long celebration marking the inauguration.

She inherits a $222 million deficit from the outgoing administration of LaToya Cantrell.

Moreno says infrastructure is one of her top priorities, including fixing street lights and repairing potholes.
