The Krewe of Dolly is planning an 80th birthday party for Dolly Parton this weekend.
The krewe started in 2020 with about 20 members, and now has more than 700.
The Krewe of Dolly birthday bash will be in front of Jacques-Imo's on Oak Street from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The venue has an outdoor stage and an indoor stage for live music.
The party serves as a fundraiser to give free books to kids in Orleans Parish.
