Gov. Jeff Landry is reportedly no longer invited to attend a dog sled race in Greenland.
Landry planned to attend the event in March at the invitation of a tourism company.
President Trump named Landry special envoy to Greenland last month, and says the United States needs to own the vast island for reasons of national security and natural resources.
The leaders of both Greenland and Denmark, which owns the island, have said no sale.
The Greenland Dog Sledding Association reportedly objected to Landry's visit, and the tourism company withdrew the invitation.
