Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill is responding to an incident on Sunday involving some riders on a parade float in New Orleans.

Around 4 p.m., the riders on Float 10 in the Krewe of Carrollton parade reportedly threw beads aggressively at New Orleans police officers along the parade route. All the riders were kicked off the float as a result.

Police are checking to see if any of their patrol cars were damaged.

Murrill issued a statement describing the incident as "contemptible."
