New Orleans Tows, Boots Hundreds Of Vehicles In Illegal Parking Crackdown

New Orleans is getting serious about illegal parking and unpaid parking tickets.

Mayor Helena Moreno's office says the city towed more than 200 vehicles over the weekend and booted over 100 more.

The crackdown is a result of the city's need to raise revenue.

New Orleans has a $222 million budget shortfall which has led to job eliminations and furloughs among city employees.
