Proposed funding is on the table for a new master plan for Municipal Auditorium and Louis Armstrong Park.
New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno announced a new $750,000 investment in the project on Thursday.
Moreno said the money comes from an unspent Department of Public Works bond. Together with a previously allocated $250,000, the total comes to $1 million
The City Council will need to approve the funding, but most council members joined Moreno on Thursday, so they seem to be on board.
