A jailer with the Slidell Police Department is in federal custody and accused of child sex crimes.
FBI agents arrested Nicholas Engolia on Tuesday night in a sting operation.
Engolia went to a park in Covington to meet a 15-year-old girl, only to find out he'd actually been messaging an undercover FBI agent.
He's charged with coercion and enticement of a minor and transferring obscene material to a minor.
Engolia faces a minimum of ten years in federal prison. The paperwork for his termination was in the pipeline on Wednesday.
