Bill Cassidy Challenges Julia Letlow To Debates Prior To GOP Primary

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy is challenging U.S. Representative Julia Letlow to a series of televised debates prior to the May 16th GOP primary.

Letlow is in the running to replace Cassidy, and she hasn't responded to his call for debates.

Cassidy stated on Friday that Letlow lacks his "experience and seniority" on Capitol Hill.

Letlow has the endorsement of President Donald Trump, likely because Cassidy voted in favor of Trump's impeachment.

State Treasurer John Fleming is also in the race.
