UNO MBB Loses In Southland Tournament Quarterfinals

UNO had its season come to an end in the quarterfinals of the Southland Tournament.

The Privateers lost to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 74-61 in Lake Charles. Coleton Benson and MJ Thomas had a team-high 17 points apiece.

The Privateers conclude the season at 15-18.

In other upcoming men's college basketball conference tournament action, the Tigers are gearing up for the SEC Tournament.

LSU will play Kentucky in the first round tomorrow morning in Nashville. Max Mackinnon is leading the team with 15.3 points per game.

The Tigers have lost eight of their last nine games to enter at 15-16.

Southern is preparing for its first SWAC Tournament matchup as the Jaguars face Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the quarterfinals on Thursday night in College Park.

Michael Jacobs leads the team with 17.6 points per game.

The Jags have won back-to-back games to enter the tournament at 15-16.
