Those flying out of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport today should arrive early.
TSA is expecting longer security lines due to the partial federal government shutdown.
Airport officials ask travelers to get to the airport at least three hours before their departure time. Wait times for security lines could reach up to two hours.
They were expected to be the busiest earlier this morning between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. and again this afternoon from 3 and 6 p.m.
