The suspect in a double murder in St. Bernard Parish is awaiting extradition following his arrest in Alabama.

Lee Collins III is accused of the fatal shootings of his mother and grandmother at a home on Centanni Drive on Easter Sunday. Investigators say he fled the state afterwards in a truck stolen from a nearby business.

The Mobile Police Department arrested Collins on Monday. He's charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

Collins reportedly has very little in the way of a criminal history.
