A former New Orleans teacher convicted of helping an escaped juvenile inmate get to Texas is being released early for good behavior.
Angela Filardo pleaded no contest last September to accessory after the fact to simple escape. She was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, with a year suspended.
The Louisiana Department of Corrections says Filardo will be released May 16, after serving just four months.
Filardo drove Lynell Reynolds to Houston after he escaped jail in Lake Charles, where he was doing time for attempted murder and armed robbery.
