Funeral arrangements are announced for longtime New Orleans defense attorney Michael Fawer, who died Wednesday at age 90.
His cause of death wasn't disclosed.
Fawer was from New York City originally, but moved to New Orleans in 1971. His highest-profile client was former Governor Edwin Edwards, who faced federal corruption trials in the 1980s.
Fawer's funeral will be on Friday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. to noon, followed by the funeral service.
