The New Orleans City Council votes today on whether to extend IV Waste's contract to haul trash in the French Quarter through 2027.

The company won a legal battle last year against Henry Consulting, the contractor preferred by former Mayor LaToya Cantrell's administration.

A pending lawsuit means a judge may still order the reinstatement of Troy Henry's company for the job.

Mayor Helena Moreno's administration has asked IV Waste to stay on.
