A major component of the next Artemis moon mission is on its way from New Orleans to Florida.

Employees at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility wheeled out the Artemis III core stage on Monday, loaded it onto a barge, and shipped it to Cape Canaveral.

The move was just ten days after the Orion spacecraft splashed down at the end of the Artemis II lunar mission.

Artemis III will send Orion into space to dock with a lunar lander from either SpaceX or Blue Origin. NASA hopes to launch the mission next year.
