Louisiana First Lady Sharon Landry's foundation, Love One Louisiana, will pay the funeral expenses for the victims of Sunday's shooting in Shreveport.

Gov. Jeff Landry made the announcement on Monday while visiting Shreveport to address the shooting at a home on West 79th Street.

The coroner's office says seven of the eight victims killed are the children of the shooter, Shamar Elkins. He was shot and killed by police in Bossier City after fleeing the scene in a stolen car.
