A soldier stationed at Fort Polk in Louisiana is accused of plotting to shoot up a synagogue.

Jakob Marcoulier faces a federal charge of "transmitting a threat."

Court records show that the 22-year old told people on the platform Discord that he wanted to kill Jewish people.

The FBI was able to get audio of Marcoulier saying the goal of the attack was to "make sure the white youth is secured."

Marcoulier faces up to five years in federal prison if found guilty.
