FBI Returns Ancient Roman Grave Marker Found In New Orleans To Italy

An ancient Roman grave marker that somehow turned up in a New Orleans back yard is back in Italy where it belongs.

The FBI says a New Orleans resident notified them after she found the carved stone in her yard a year ago.

The marble funerary stone was repatriated in a ceremony last week in Rome.

A gilded 17th century reliquary urn recovered in Boston was also returned. It had reportedly been stolen from an Italian church.
