The U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on Louisiana's congressional map is final, after justices denied a motion to recall the decision.
The high court threw out the state's current voting map last week on the basis of unconstitutional race-based gerrymandering. Gov. Jeff Landry canceled the congressional race in response to the court's ruling.
The Secretary of State's office says more than 128,000 early votes had already been cast by Tuesday.
The state Senate is expected to start drawing up new map on Friday.
