A home invasion suspect is in custody after jumping off the Causeway Bridge into Lake Ponchartrain on Wednesday to avoid capture.
Kentrell Sanders of Napoleonville had also reportedly stabbed two people and tried to carjack somebody in Mandeville before a stolen truck he was driving ran out of gas on the bridge.
Causeway Police arrested Sanders after fishing him out of the lake with a rescue basket.
Sanders is expected to be charged with carjacking, theft, battery, attempted murder, home invasion, and auto theft.
