The FBI is investigating a bank robbery carried out over the weekend by a man who claimed to have a bomb.
The robbery happened around 11:30 a.m. Saturday at First Horizon Bank on Canal Street at North Carrollton Avenue.
The suspect reportedly entered the bank and threatened to set off an explosive device if the bank teller didn't hand over the money. The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Bank robbery is a federal crime, so the FBI took charge of the investigation.
