An unsuccessful candidate for mayor of Kenner says she may challenge the results of Saturday's primary election.

Incumbent Kenner mayor Michael Glaser got just over 50 percent of the vote, avoiding a runoff with two other candidates.

Diane Schnell, a Democrat who came in second, says she's suspicious of the election's outcome. She claims there were problems with voting machines, voters were turned away, and other issues at polling places.

Schnell has until Tuesday to file a recount request with the Secretary of State's office.
