Slidell's newly elected police chief says he wants to grow the force to reflect the growth of the city.
Tommy Williams won Saturday's election and will be sworn in on July 1st, along with five new City Council members.
The Slidell Police force stands has 79 officers, and Williams says he aims to add one or two officers every year for the next four years.
He also says he plans to focus on human trafficking, officer training, traffic enforcement, the department's drone program, and youth mentoring.
