Gov. Jeff Landry is describing his experiences during his visit to Greenland this week.
Landry arrived on Sunday and attended the Future Greenland trade fair in the capital city of Nuuk, which started Tuesday.
President Donald Trump named Landry his special envoy to the huge island in January after expressing an interest in acquiring it from Denmark.
Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen met with Landry and cordially let him know the island isn't available.
Overall, Landry said his "reception has been great."
