Cleanup continues after an oil spill in February from the Louisiana Offshore Oil Port off the coast of Terrebonne Parish.

State officials updated local seafood industry leaders in a meeting on Wednesday.

Mitch Jurisich, head of the Oyster Task Force at the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, said crews are still working on the difficult cleanup.

Kyle Balkum with the Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy says about 54 miles of shoreline are still fouled with a thick, dense crude imported from Venezuela.
