The candidate who came in second in the Kenner mayor's race is still dissatisfied with the result after a recount.

Thursday's recount confirmed that incumbent Michael Glaser defeated Diane Schnell and avoided a runoff by a margin of only 20 votes.

Schnell had called for the recount, claiming there were problems with the voting machines.

She now says the recount was flawed because it involved only mail-in ballots.

Schnell claims that fewer than 1,000 votes were recounted, out of more than 11,000 ballots that were cast.
