A proposed bill to redraw Louisiana's congressional districts is on its way to the full House after a committee approved it on Thursday.
The House and Governmental Affairs Committee advanced Senate Bill 121 after amending it.
The bill would redraw the state's congressional map, which the U.S. Supreme Court recently struck down as unconstitutional because of race-based gerrymandering.
The Senate previously approved the bill, and will have a look at it again if its amended form is approved by the full House.
