The new GOP-favored Congressional map in Louisiana is heading to the governor's desk for signature.
The state legislature passed the re-drawn map today meant to Republican seats in the U.S. House.
The path was cleared for the new map after the Supreme Court voided Louisiana's map in a ruling that was centered around how much race can be considered when lawmakers redraw districts.
The new map eliminates one of the state's Black-majority congressional districts.
