A federal three-judge panel in Louisiana will review the state's newly drawn congressional map in a hearing later this month.
Both chambers of the Louisiana Legislature recently passed the bill that established the new congressional district map, and Gov. Jeff Landry signed it into law.
The new map was drawn up in response to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that the previous map featured unconstitutional racial gerrymandering.
The court hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. June 17th at the federal courthouse in Shreveport.
