Two Men Who Drowned In Pearl River Identified

Officials are identifying two men who died after they were pulled from a canal near Pearl River on Wednesday.

The St. Tammany Parish Coroner says Richard Robertson and Hugh Parker both drowned, and their manner of death is accidental.

Robertson and Parker were both elderly and were both from Mississippi.

Relatives who were with them pulled them from the Lock One Navigational Canal before deputies and paramedics arrived.

The men were pronounced dead at a local hospital.
