A pair of Southwest Louisiana baseball players are off to the pros.
The New York Mets selected former Barbe Buc and LSU Tiger pitcher Gavin Guidry with the 480th overall pick in the 16th round of the 2026 MLB Draft.
The Seattle Mariners selected Sulphur native and LSU standout Jake Brown as the 65th pick in the 2026 MLB Draft.
Brown will be teammates in Seattle with former LSU pitcher Kade Anderson.
