Landry Noncommittal On Moreno's Request For Meeting

Gov. Jeff Landry isn't in a hurry to honor New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno's request for a face-to-face meeting.

As of Monday, the governor was noncommittal about the idea.

Landry says Orleans Parish needs to realize it's just one of the state's 64 parishes and isn't in the driver's seat.

His comments appeared to reflect the tension between the Democratic stronghold of New Orleans and the Republican-led state.
