Legendary college baseball coach Skip Bertman has died at age 88.
LSU announced Bertman's passing this morning, calling him one of the "most impactful figures" in college sports.
The College Baseball Hall of Famer led the Tigers to 870 victories, seven SEC championships and five College World Series titles between 1984 and 2001.
After his retirement as baseball coach, Bertman served as LSU's athletic director, overseeing two football national championships.
