The National Alliance on Mental Illness Safe Haven campus in St. Tammany Parish could soon be closing its doors.
NAMI posted a message on social media which reads in part, "The Parish has issued notice that our current agreement will end December 31, 2026. While temporary housing arrangements have been extended to our residents, our administrative offices, NAMI's Closet, and all program space are not included in a new agreement."
Meanwhile, NAMI is calling on residents to attend tonight's Parish budget meeting to speak out against the closing of NAMI.
