NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A recount of the votes for the New Orleans City Council District B seat will take place Monday at 9 a.m., a week after the request was put in by Seth Bloom.

The results from the Nov. 18 election, showed that Jay Banks defeated Bloom by 131 votes.

Bloom requested an investigation, saying that absentee ballots were tossed out.
