An Australian woman could not believe her eyes when she came across the monstrous remains of a mysterious creature that she initially suspected was a mermaid. The gruesome discovery was reportedly made by Bobbi-Lee Oates in the coastal community of Keppel Sands as she was "driving along the beach looking for a campsite." The search came to a sudden stop when she caught a glimpse of the peculiar remains and "we couldn't help but notice how much the skull looked to be in the shape of a human's." Confounded by the curious sight, Oates stopped her car and approached the dead creature, but wound up even more mystified when she got a better look at it.
