Former Biden Staffer Details How He Sexually Assaulted Her In 1993

Glenn Greenwald says “It's shocking - truly - that not a single cable news host who has interviewed Biden has even dared ask him about these sexual assault allegations .”

In an interview with the far-left Democracy Now!, Tara Reade details how she was assaulted by then-Senator Biden in 1993.

They report that the “Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund, set up to help survivors of rape and sexual assault, refused to fund a #MeToo investigation into allegations against Biden...the public relations firm representing Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund is SKDKnickerbocker, whose managing director, Anita Dunn, is top adviser to Biden’s presidential campaign.”

Reade said that Biden repeatedly touched her without her consent and sexually assaulted her.

In the interview she said:

“And then he — it was one, as I described, fluid moment. He was talking to me, and he said some things that I don’t recall. And I was up against the wall. And he — I remember the coldness of the wall. And I remember his hands underneath my blouse and underneath my skirt, and his fingers penetrating me as he was trying to kiss me and I was pulling away. And he pulled back, and he said, “Come on, man. I heard you liked me.” But he was angry. It was like a tight voice. And he tended to smile when he was angry. And he isn’t like the Uncle Joe like everybody talks about now. He was younger. He was my dad’s age at that time and very strong. And he looked insulted and angry. And I remember feeling like I had done something wrong when he said that statement. And then I was standing there when he said — he was still near me. He said — pointed his finger and said, “You’re nothing to me. You’re nothing.” And he walked away...
The next thing I remember was that night and talking to my mom, and she was like, “You need to file a police report. It’s a sexual assault.” And I didn’t think of it as sexual assault, and I didn’t really understand. And I was trying to just get over the shock of it, because I looked up to him. He was supposed to be a champion of women. And I was so thrilled to be at that office and so honored, and it shattered my life and changed the trajectory of my whole career and life. And I lost my job after I complained, and I was fired.”

Interesting how the mainstream media has found zero interest in this story as Glenn Greenwald points out.

Reason.com’s Robby Soave asks “Why Are the Mainstream Media Ignoring Tara Reade's Sexual Assault Accusation Against Joe Biden?”...noting “So far, it's been silence from The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, and others”

Soave writes:

“On September 14, 2018, The New York Times reported the existence of an unverified sexual misconduct allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The story cited three people who had read a letter sent by the accuser—Christine Blasey Ford—to Sen. Diane Feinstein (D–Calif.). Ford was not interviewed for the story; indeed, she wasn't named. Unconfirmed reports of a teenaged Kavanaugh assaulting a teenaged Ford evidently merited coverage from The Times. This prompts an obvious question: Why is the paper of record now declining to publicize a very troubling allegation against former Vice President Joe Biden? The Times is hardly alone in this regard. The mainstream media have remained bafflingly silent about Tara Reade, a former member of then-Senator Biden's staff who claims that he sexually assaulted her in 1993.”

Detroit News’ Nolan Finley express similar sentiment, writing that Reade’s “allegations are more serious and credible than those lodged by Christine Blasey Ford”.

Finley writes:

"Reade levels the more serious charge of penetration, which is a felony sexual assault. Her memories are those of a sober adult in the workplace, not of a teenager at an alcohol-infused house party.
The other key difference: Kavanaugh has no record as an adult of inappropriate behavior with women. Biden's inability to keep his hands off women and girls is documented by a library of video clips, as well as anecdotes from the women he's mishandled.
Yet Ford’s accusation sparked a broad movement that nearly derailed Kavanaugh’s appointment and continues to inform his public image. Reade’s charges have barely dented Biden's presidential campaign.
Democratic leaders who demanded a full FBI investigation of Kavanaugh are ignoring Reade’s story and continue to champion Biden as their standard bearer. They haven't called him in to face questions about the claims."
