Severe Weather Threat Grows On Wednesday

A severe weather threat looms over Southeast Louisiana ahead of a cold front, with the biggest concern for storms developing on Wednesday.

"The line of storms will stall across central Louisiana Wednesday morning before re-organizing and plowing east by the afternoon hours," said Fox 8 meteorologist Zack Fredella. "The greatest storm threat will be during the afternoon and evening for southeast Louisiana and south Mississippi. As of the latest Storm Prediction Center outlook, the entire region is under an enhanced level 3 out of 5 risk."

Fredella adds that brings the possiblity of long track tornadoes, along with damaging winds, heavy rain and hail.

After the front pushes through, temperatures will fall starting on Thursday.
