Louisiana Residents Prepare As Hurricane Francine Heads Towards Coastline

Crews are standing by to start restoring power today in southeast Louisiana.

Hurricane Francine left nearly a quarter-million residents in the dark as it passed through on Wednesday.

As of 8 p.m., Entergy reported nearly 224,000 customers without power across more than a dozen parishes.

CLECO reported just over 20,000 customers without power in several parishes.

Washington/St. Tammany Electric reported more than 1,200 customers in the dark in St. Tammany and Washington Parishes.
