The Slidell Police Department released a video showing a 5-pound chihuahua "driving" a car in reverse into four lanes of traffic.
The dog, of course, didn't realize he was driving a car at the time.
According to the officers, a married couple was pumping gas while their dog sat inside the car. The dog was able to switch gears without pressing the brake because of a mechanical issue in the car.
The car crossed a four-lane highway before reaching another gas station down the road.
One of the vehicle's owners sustained minor injuries while trying to stop the vehicle.
When reached for comment the driving dog said, "Hold on, let me put this vehicle in bark."
