BRPD, LSU Join Investigation After Body Found In Miss. River Near Reserve

The St. John the Baptist Sheriff's Office says they have started an investigation into a body found in the Mississippi River near Reserve yesterday.

According to reports, the body was found around 11 a.m. but had not yet been identified.

St. John Sheriff Mike Tregre says he expects an autopsy to be completed today.

The Baton Rouge Police Department and officials at LSU have joined the investigation to see if the body belongs to LSU student Kori Gauthier who went missing on April 7.
